Celebrate Independence Day in Downtown Erie!

Hello and Happy 4th of July week, everyone! Summer is officially here, which means our lawns are cut, our grills are cleaned, and our party planning has begun. While planning a party is super fun, why not take a day and let someone else do the hosting? Allow me to give you a few ideas so we can host you!

Lunch at Flagship City Food Hall - obviously.

D’s Nibs and Nubs

When you get downtown, it’s almost a necessary thing to stop by and see what’s new at the Food Hall. One thing you definitely need to check out are the new appetizers over at Ippa Pizza. Peep this photo and prepare to be tempted!

A Special Occasion Cigar

Brig Cigar Lounge

Head across the street to 419 State Street and take the elevator up to the 3rd floor for one of the coolest spots in all of Downtown Erie - The Brig Cigar Lounge. Lounge in a comfy leather chair and enjoy a cigar with some friends before the evening festivities begin. This hidden gem offers a cozy and sophisticated atmosphere perfect for a relaxing break.

Fireworks Show!

Lights Over Lake Erie fireworks show

Did you know that Downtown Erie hosts some of the coolest fireworks in all of Erie County? And even better, you can walk from the Flagship City District to the Bayfront in just about 5 minutes to get yourself a great viewing spot! The display is a spectacular way to end the evening, with brilliant colors lighting up the sky and reflecting off the water, creating a magical experience for everyone. Friendly heads up, this fireworks show only takes place on July 3rd.

Parking is a breeze!
