What is the EDDC?

The Erie Downtown Development Corporation (EDDC) is a nonprofit organization, with the goal of fueling economic growth through real estate development in downtown Erie. The EDDC creates tremendous economic impact in our community by creating opportunities for new businesses to start & create jobs in downtown, and by bolstering downtown’s tax base to fund essential services and our historically underfunded school district. Equally important however, is the social impact of the EDDC’s work, which includes prioritizing opportunities for minority- & women-owned businesses, improving public spaces that bring the community together, and featuring programming that celebrates Erie’s history and cultural diversity.
