Monotype printmaking is a technique where paint is applied to a surface and transferred to paper, creating one-of-a-kind printed images. In this 1-day workshop, participants will explore the use of watercolor paint and dish soap to produce rich and expressive prints. Each participant will create at least one Monotype and 2–4 Monoprints, variations of the same design, using both a printing press and hand printing methods. This class encourages creative experimentation while introducing a versatile and accessible printmaking technique that can be easily adapted for home use.
