Please join us for an evening of heavy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and lively conversation! Explore a behind-the-scenes view of the Erie Art Museum. Tour the Museum’s collection of over 8,000 objects, and spend time engaging with the Museum’s artist-in-residence, current exhibiting artists, and knowledgeable staff.
Tickets include:
• Reception and book signing for visual artist and documentarian Tony Machi – his show, Passionately Curious, opens on June 1st in the Customs House.
• A tour of our collection storage – learn more about where and how we safely store over 8,000 pieces of art.
• A behind-the-scenes look with artist-in-residence Ana Balcazar. Learn about her artistic process as she prepares for her upcoming exhibition inspired by works in our collection!
• An exclusive and up close look at the refurbished Erie Art Museum collection piece, NIMBUS, the flying machine by John Vahanian and David Seitzinger which will be back on view for this event after being in storage for many years.
• A demonstration of how Museum staff are using 3D imaging to capture an iconic museum artifact, The Avalon.
• Live entertainment in the Holstein Gallery featuring Tommy Link.
$50 Admission also includes one free drink ticket and all activities listed above.
